Our house was built in 1980 and contained the usual separation of rooms that lacked the open layout convenient for entertaining and allowing of natural sunlight into the home. Our goal was to change this. In 1984 we added a 2 floor addition to the rear of our house that resulted in the kitchen being on the inside of the house away from the outside wall. We began the process for finding a contractor at the local home show. Of those that responded to our inquiry this contractor was the most responsive and took a noticeable interest in providing us with a product that would best fit our desires. They took the time to ensure they understood what it was we were trying to accomplish and that we understood the steps to having this accomplished. In addition their pricing was competitive and the quality of the products provided are excellent. Once work started they were present every work day. As work progressed there were issues that arose, all of which were addressed and resolved immediately. A major structural issue was identified with the addition added in 1984. A solution was recommended and upon agreement immediately implemented to ensure the project continued on schedule. The personnel assigned to this job were professional and took personal pride in doing an excellent job. The contractor took steps up front to revise plumbing and electrical design issues so as to avoid any need to revisit any potential problems at a later date. The warranty issued by this contractor is very complete and leaves us with little concern should any issues arise, (Which I doubt will). The job was finished on time, the workmanship is excellent and the little lady is happy. How could it be any better.

My ex-boyfriend had contracted with another company to have a huge addition put on my home. It got totally messed up. It had many errors especially in the foundation, leveling etc. I contracted to have the roof added by an other company and they flooded the house because they didn't tarp correctly when a storm came up. I then found a plumber to rough in the plumbing for the bathroom and he ran off with the money. A second plumber competed the job and charged 3 times the original estimate/contract agreed upon and ended up taking me to court for additional money. The Anderson slider patio doors that we installed kept leaking and for 3 years I was after them to fix the problems. Finally one day, crying I ended up in Hughes Kitchens and Bath's showroom. After they calmed me down, they agreed to help me and not take advantage of me. They estimated costs, stuck to their agreements, fixed so many of the previous problems and finally completed my addition after 10 years in the making. They worked with me in stages so the cost would stay out of pocket and I didn't have to borrow (which is what I really loved). They really cared about me and my house. I will not go to any one else. Thank you Hughes Kitchens and Bath for my beautiful home! Everyone that sees the house just loves it. I will see you again with my next project.
